Two faculty members of Fasa University among the top 2% of scientists in the world in 2021

Based on a study by Stanford University scientists on Scopus data, on October 19, 2021, a list of 100,000 highly cited scientists in all disciplines, as well as the top 2% of scientific disciplines, was identified and Dr. Seyed Mohammad Baqer Hashemi, faculty member of Department of Food Science and Engineering, and Dr. Mohammad Reza Mahmoudi, Faculty member of Department of Statistics at Fasa University were included in the list of the world's top scientists.

It should be noted that Elsevier has created a database of more than 100,000 top scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, article citations, and a composite index. This research has classified scientists into 5 main subject areas, 22 sub-subject areas, and 176 disciplines. The condition for researchers to enter the ranking process was the publication of at least 5 articles.
